- The world is sad, but it always has been. I think our world is getting kinder & better. With the internet we're more aware of the bad. Hopefully, that doesn't bring the good people down, but instead inspire them to see goodness & spread it around.

- Some of the commenters are raging as usual. From the article it sounds like you lose your kids for being "anti-government." Doesn't help that the parents look nice & the kids look happy. Just hope the kids are safe.

- The self help books sound like they were for the mom. I cannot grasp why she would choose to bond with guns & violent video games when her son was not capable of empathy. I don't get it.
